que sorpresa

I just finished a class and entered the computer lab to quickly check my email. In my in-box was a message from Silvio (my Argentine ex) to tell me that he's been living in his hometown since last June, he's very happy, he's got a new job and, he's GOING TO BE A FATHER next month. Apparently he's been living "en pareja" for awhile now. I'm trying to do the math, because I will swear to you that he told me he was in the Canaries last June. Which, for those of you without quick access to a map are located next to AFRICA, not Argentina. And I will also go so far as to say I remember him telling me last March that he had never found anyone else to love him. I'm not saying the guy was being sleazy, I'm just saying he's making excellent time on the adult highway.

What makes this even better is that in the last message I sent him included, what was supposed to be, a joke, where I said (after one of my emails was sent back because his email address was cancelled) "I just told myself Silvio's found a wife and no longer needs an email address to talk to ex-girlfriends". Jajaja. The jokes on me.

I feel a bit mareada.
